Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply between yourself and the Ceramics Academy for the sale and purchase of experiences in your basket or purchased via email or phone. The terms do not affect your statutory rights.

 

Note: ‘experience’ refers to any activity organised by Ceramics Academy.

 

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Online

Your booking is only considered confirmed when payment is made. If booking online via Booking Hound, once you have completed your order you will receive an email confirmation.

 

Online payment is by Stripe – by credit or debit card only. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted, and the Ceramics Academy will not be liable for any missed order.

 

Via invoice

Your booking is only considered confirmed when payment is made by the date stated on the invoice via BACS.

 

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your purchase within a period of 14 days. However, there is no right of cancellation where the course begins within this fourteen-day period.

 

Payment Plan – 12 Week Classes Only

We offer the option to spread the cost of our 12-week classes over two payments. You are agreeing to pay the full amount by selecting this option. The second instalment is due by the date stated on the booking link. If payment for the second instalment is late, a late payment fee may be incurred. Cancellation rights are the same as below.

 

CANCELLATIONS

We want to give our customers the freedom to amend a booking when enough notice is given but we do have conditions for short notice cancellations which have an impact on our other customers and our business.

 

Open Access

You can amend your booking yourself by accessing the Booking Hound portal. If needed, you can change the date of your session free of charge. If you miss your appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will not be refunded. Cancellations of more than 24 hours’ notice will receive a refund minus Booking Hound fees and £5 admin fee.

 

Classes/Workshops/Masterclasses

Terms of cancellation

All cancellation requests must be in writing by email to info@ceramicsacademy.co.uk. If you have not received a confirmation email within 5 working days, please phone 07796 638726. Unless you have received a written acknowledgement from us that we have received your request you must not consider your booking cancelled.

 

Cancellations 21 days before experience

You may request a refund up to 21 days before the experience minus a booking/admin fee dependant on your payment method. If you paid online via Booking Hound this will be 4% + VAT (Booking Hound fee) plus 2% + VAT +20p (Stripe payment processing fee). If you paid via BACS, this will be a £5 admin fee.

 

Cancellations 20 - 3 days before experience

A refund will only be given if your booking can be filled minus the booking/admin fee as stated above.

 

Cancellations less than 48 hours

No refund will be given.

 

Failure to attend

No refund will be given. Nor the option to re-book.

 

Missed lessons

Any lessons missed on our weekly term time courses will not be refunded. However, wherever possible and if space permits, we will try our best to fit you into an alternative lesson during the term in question. Missed lessons cannot be carried over to the following term.

 

VOUCHERS

Vouchers are valid for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after the expiry date.

Experiences must be booked in advance and the voucher produced when attending.

Vouchers are non-refundable other than within the 14-day cancellation period as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

No change or credit will be given should the voucher value exceed the total cost of the experience.

 

FINISHED WORK

Work that is not collected after six months will be disposed of.

 

UNAVOIDABLE CLOSURE

If Ceramics Academy is forced to close due to circumstance beyond our control (such as pandemic and adverse weather conditions) customers will be offered another experience to the same value as the one missed.

 

DATA PROTECTION

How we use your data:

  • To provide and operate the services

  • Ceramics Academy will never share your personal details to third parties

  • We will only retain details for as long as they are useful for Ceramics Academy to contact you

  • Information you enter on our booking system may be collected and stored by us to provide a service in relation to your booking

  • No credit or debit card information will be held by Ceramics Academy

  • Please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website for full details

 

We may, in our sole and absolute discretion, vary our cancellation policy.

 

And finally, having fun is compulsory!
